HOW TO BECOME A DEVELOPER AND USE OF IT
Friends, only few people know what is developers mode, what can we do with it Today we are going to tell you about androids this silent features gain.
1. Background process limit: Right down the bottom of the list, this option lets you set how many processes can run in the background at any one time.

6. Dont keep activities: Be very careful about using this setting: it force closes every application as soon as you leave its main view.
7. Enable OpenGL traces: A setting that records OpenGL errors. Enable OpenGL traces places errors in a log file of your choosing.
8. Force 4x MSAA: This setting forces multi-sample anti-aliasing (MSAA). This makes things look better, but puts more strain on the CPU / RAM.
9. Force GPU rendering: This setting forces apps to use hardware 2D rendering, even if they were written to not use it. It can make things look great, or it can temporarily bork your phone. Use with care.
10. Force RTL layout direction: This forces screen orientation for right-to-left language support. Useful principally for developers of multi-language apps.
11. Keep your phone awake: Check the Stay awake opotion and the screen on your phone to stay on anytime and every time it is plugged in. Useful if you are working on Android development and find it annoying that the screen keeps timing out. But it wont do your screen any good in the medium term.
12. Mock locations: Hit the Allow Mock Locations option, and you will be able to manually write location information. This is useful if you are developing an app that uses location information.
13. Pointer location: Places an information bar at the top of your screen that tells you the coordinates of the last place the screen was touched.
14. Power menu bug reports: This adds an option to the menu you see when you press and hold the power key, allowing you to collect and send a bug report.
15. Process stats: This is one of only a couple of options that remains enabled even when you switch off Developer Options. It shows you a tonne of data about what is going on in your smartphone or tablet.
16. Profile GPU rendering: This setting draws a graph - a visual rendering of how hard the GPU is working. You can either view onscreen or save to a file.
17. Select debug app: Choose an app, debug it.
18. Select runtime: Here you can choose to use either Dalvik or ART. Important for developers creating apps to run on Android L. (See also: How to fix Wi-Fi problems with Android Lollipop.)
19. Show all ANRs: Makes every process show an App Not Responding dialog if it hangs. Even if it is running in the background, which is useful if the app you are developing is interfering with another process, and you need to work out what is happening.
20. Show CPU usage: Allows you to view CPU information inscreen at all times.
21. Show GPU view updates: Enable this setting and any onscreen element drawn with GPU hardware is viewed with a red overlay.
22. Show hardware layer updates: Tells you when hardware layers update.
23. Show layout bounds: This useful tool marks the edges of all the elements in a dialog so you know where a touch will activate them.
24. Show surface updates: Selecting this option makes the edge of an onscreen window flash when its contents are updated.
25. Show touches: This option adds a visual cue on the screen wherever a touch is registered.
26. Simulate secondary displays: Allows you to simulate different screen sizes.
27. Strict mode enabled: Flashes the screen when an app uses the main thread to perform long and intensive operations.
28. Transition animation scale: This setting sets the speed for transition-animation playback.
29. USB debugging: Allows your Android device to communicate via USB to your computer via the Android Debug Bridge (ADB). You can also revoke USB debugging authorizations: When you use a computer to debug over USB for the first time, you have to authorize it and set up a keypair. This setting revokes that.
30. Verify apps over USB: Use this setting and Google scans apps you installed looking for malicious behavior.
31. Wait for debugger: Not enabled unless you are set up to debug an app. When enabled it prevents that app from starting until the debugger is attached.
32. Window animation scale: Sets the speed for window-animation playback.

The Developer Options is hidden by default from the Settings menu.
To enable the hidden Developer Options, please follow the steps below :
- On your Redmi phone, find and launch the Settings app.
- Tap General settings.
- Tap About phone.
- Tap Android version for 7 times.
- Once you reached the 7th times, you�ll see the �You are now a developer� message appears on screen.
- Once turned on, you can tap Developer options on the General Settings screen to access a list of options which deemed to be mainly useful to the developers.
- Lastly, you can do a factory reset to hide the Developer options.
Note: You can also go to Settings > General Settings > Apps >All >Settings and execute clear data to hide the Developer options.

The new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is an amazing phone. Those who are dual sim phone owners must be disappointed that you can either choose Extra Space; or Dual Sim with internal space.
Well, if you are willing to do a little bit of hack, you will be able to use Dual Sim and MicroSD space on Samsung Galaxy Edge S7.
Here are the RISKS if you decided to proceed with the hack;
- Your Nano sim will not be able to reuse again (replacement new nano sim).
- Your Micro SD Card may attach to the Nano Sim. Forever
- Prepare to walk into your Telco and get a replacement of Nano Sim, if it failed to work.
- One of your Nano sims need to be your permanent line; because it�s attached to your Micro SD Card.
- If you didn�t do it right, you might break your S7 Edge ??
So, I have a primary line; which I use daily i.e Celcom Line, alternatively sometimes I hop on Mobile (a lot of data 3GB�), so I�ve decided to hack on my Celcom Nano sim, and Mobile will be� an on and off sim which allows me to plug into slot 1; besides if you travel a lot, can use to plug the travel sim card into slot 1 too.
Prepare Your Tools
Here are the simple tools I am using to hack the Nano sim.
- Nano Sim (MUST BE Nano Sim because it�s easier to cut and remove)
- Lighter
- Scissor
- Double side tape OR Uhu/Elephant/Gajah Super Glue. (I used double sided tape because I love the free MicroSD card from Samsung)
- MicroSD Card.
- Read the next line
Step 1: Make Sure the Nano Sim Card Placing is Correct.
Here are 2 SIMs (Mobile and Maxis) I am using to do the comparison, which one should face up/down.

I notice that all the sim card (included Celcom, shown later), have a breaking part. that should give you an indication which one is Up or Down.

So now you should know which part should face up/down using looking at the breaking part on the sim card.
Step 2: Removing the chip from Nano Sim
Heat up the Nano Sim (the plastic side ok) for 30 secs to 1 minutes, and use your finger/sharpen tools to remove the chip out from the nano sim card. It should look like this�

By now, you are almost 50% done with the work ?? If it�s not successful, it�s time to walk into your cells and do sim replacement ??
Step 3: Trim Nano Sim Chip and Attach to MicroSD Card
If you want to play safe and don�t salvage your MicroSD Card, you can use double sided tape attach the nano sim and MicroSD Card together. But before that, make sure you trim the Nano Sim Chip and make it just nice (am-am) fix into MicroSD Card.
Which part should I trim it? Refer to picture below.
Trim/Cut off both side of the nano sim chip
I use scissors cutting off both side, 1mm to 2mm (well I didn�t measure, just by gut feeling). We move on next, you may need to trim the nano sim chip.
Step 4: Attach Nano Sim Chip onto MicroSD Card
Now, here is the part, attach the Nano Sim Chip onto MicroSD Card. Refer to picture below for more explanation.

So, if you MicroSD chip reading if on your ride, your Nano Sim Chip Breaking part should face up highlight in Orange color.
Besides, make sure the Nano Sim Chip is aligned to the corner of your MicroSD Card as highlighted in RED color.

Step 5: Placing the MicroSD Nano Sim onto Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Tray
So, placing the MicroSD Nano Sim onto your S7 Edge tray and get ready to activate the dual sim, I attached with Maxis sim card for testing.
Flip it over, make sure the Nano Sim Chip is aligned on the corner as Highlight in the Red Square. Alright, slot it into your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge!
Final Step: Configure with Dual Sim Manager
If you see picture below on your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, that mean now your S7 Edge is enabled with Dual Sim and Expanded MicroSD Card Storage! Congratulation!
Now you should head over and configure your data sim/call sim / 4G LTE network sim with Dual Sim Manager.
For those who failed on Step 2, don�t give up, get a new nano sim and do it again ??

Here are the two steps to going live on the web:
1. Register your domain.
2. Rent some server space.
As you already have a domain, we will jump to point 2 - Rent server space to host your website
When renting space on a server so that it can serve your website on the World Wide Web, it is often called hosting. Companies that provide this service are often called host or hosting companies. You can choose which type of hosting would you prefer: shared hosting, dedicated hosting, VPS hosting or cloud hosting.
After you registered your domain, all you need to do it contact a hosting company and tell them you want to host your website and that you have a proper domain name. They will guide you through the process and you should be live on the web in no time! Some hosting companies do provide with a domain name too. You can ask them for more details if you need any.
A cheaper option
Some people may not want to buy a domain or go for free hosting because they have just a personal website for fun or practice. You can still get your website live on the web by using a free hosting service that allows creating what they call a sub-domain. A sub-domain is just a domain that is part of another domain. In that case, your website address will be like, for example:
www.5hoster.com/YourWebsite/
Or it could be like:
yourWebsite.5hoster.com
This is fine for fun/project websites, but if you are serious about your website (say its your business website) using sub-domains is like taking someone elses business card and writing your name on it! Also, there are security concerns.
One last point, Ive heard of free hosting services that will allow you to host proper domains with them for free and without annoying ads that other free host will insert into your pages. But Ive never used them, and in my opinion, you always get what you pay for.
Choosing the Right Hosting plan
You should check out the following before choosing which plan to go for as per your requirement:
1. Amount of web space
This means how much web space the web hosting company will allow you to use for your web site. This can vary but usually starts at around the 100 megabytes mark, and can go all the way up to 1000 or 2000 megabytes. For all but the biggest web sites, 100MB is more than adequate. Some web hosting companies offer much more space � they are able to do this because they know that the average web site comes in at less than 100 megabytes.
2. Number of email addresses
This means how many emails address the hosting company will permit you to have. For budget accounts, this is usually somewhere between 1 and 10 email addresses. Some higher-end packages permit say 250 addresses.
3. Bandwidth (or data transfer)
This is a much-misunderstood measure, but it is really important if your web site starts to generate a lot of interest from web users. It means the amount of data your web site can transmit to web users. For example, if a web page in your web site is 10 kilobytes (about 1000 words on the page) in size, and one Internet user views it, you have used 10 kilobytes of bandwidth. If 10 users request that page you have used 100 kilobytes of bandwidth. Bandwidth is normally measured monthly.
Most small web sites will need under half a gigabyte of bandwidth per month. That means you can serve about 52,000 web pages per month (assuming the pages are an average of 10 kilobytes in size).
4. Windows or UNIX?
The last major differentiating factor between web hosting packages is the operating system. Just like your desktop computer (probably running Microsoft Windows or an Apple Mac OS), web servers run an operating system. It�s the software that makes the computer go. There are two major types of OS in the web hosting world � Windows and UNIX. The major variant of UNIX is called Linux.
For basic web sites, it doesn�t really matter whether you choose Linux or Windows hosting. Your pages will work just the same whichever you choose. But for more advanced users it pays to make the right choice.
Which OS to choose comes down to what you want to do with your web site. For example, if you want to install certain apps such as WordPress then you need to know which OS the app runs best on. Here are some examples:

Moving your web site files onto the server
After you have your domain name registered and your hosting service in place, the last step is to upload the website to the server. You can transfer your website to your hosts server using an FTP program.
An FTP program is a type of software that is used to move files from one computer to another over the Internet. FTP is the acronym for File Transfer Protocol, this just means that this is a way of moving files. There are several free FTP programs you can use to move your files onto the server, and many HTML editors and web design programs like Dreamweaver have FTP capabilities built in.
One option you probably have to FTP your files to the server is Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer 5 and up have an FTP program built right in and you can use it by just typing in the FTP address of the server in the address bar preceded by the keyword: FTP. Here is an example:

Sometimes, we might need to edit and update certain system files manually in order to apply some custom mods and patches and that�s when we need a root file explorer. ES File Explorer as a Root Explorer
Launch ES File Explorer and open the app�s settings by pressing the menu soft key. In Settings scroll down to Other Settings section and tap the option Root Settings.

FAA to allow passenger use of iPhones iPads other electronics during all phases of flight
The rule change will allow passengers to be able to read e-books, play games, and watch videos during all phases of flight, including landing and takeoff, with very limited exceptions. Previously, passengers had to wait until their plane was at a high enough altitude — 10,000 feet — before they could turn on their devices.
The FAA will require that electronic items, books and magazines be held or put in the seat-back pocket during actual takeoff and landing. Cell phones must be kept in airplane mode or have cellular service disabled, and they will not be able to be used for cellular voice calls.
The FAAs decision means that by the end of the year, passengers will be able to use their portable electronic devices in airplane mode during all phases of flight, with a few rare exceptions.
If a carrier offers Wi-Fi service during a flight, that may be accessed. In addition, short-range Bluetooth connections are also allowed.
"We believe todays decision honors both our commitment to safety and consumers increasing desire to use their electronic devices during all phases of their flights," said Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx. "These guidelines reflect input from passengers, pilots, manufacturers, and flight attendants, and I look forward to seeing airlines implement these much anticipated guidelines in the near future."
The FAAs advisory board recommended to the agency in September that they loosen regulations on electronic device use during flights. Critics of the previous regulations said the rules are baseless, pointing out that newer aircraft are adequately equipped to deal with interference that may be caused by a portable electronic device.
In response, the FAA put together a PED Aviation Rulemaking Committee, which concluded most commercial airplanes can tolerate radio interference from consumer electronics. It recommended that handheld, lightweight devices such as iPhones and iPads should be allowed for use in airplane mode at all altitudes, once an airline verifies the tolerance of its fleet.

A flights crew can instruct passengers to turn their devices off in rare instances, such as low-visibility. The committee also recommended that heavier electronic devices should be safely stowed under seats or in overhead bins during takeoff and landing.
"I commend the dedication and excellent work of all the experts who spent the past year working together to give us a solid report so we can now move forward with a safety-based decision on when passengers can use PEDs on airplanes," said FAA Administrator Michael Huerta.
The FAA on Thursday also provided passengers with a list of 10 things it says they should know about the expanded use of electronic devices on flights:
- 1. Make safety your first priority.
- 2. Changes to PED policies will not happen immediately and will vary by airline. Check with your airline to see if and when you can use your PED.
- 3. Current PED policies remain in effect until an airline completes a safety assessment, gets FAA approval, and changes its PED policy.
- 4. Cell phones may not be used for voice communications.
- 5. Devices must be used in airplane mode or with the cellular connection disabled. You may use the WiFi connection on your device if the plane has an installed WiFi system and the airline allows its use. You can also continue to use short-range Bluetooth accessories, like wireless keyboards.
- 6. Properly stow heavier devices under seats or in the overhead bins during takeoff and landing. These items could impede evacuation of an aircraft or may injure you or someone else in the event of turbulence or an accident.
- 7. During the safety briefing, put down electronic devices, books and newspapers and listen to the crewmembers instructions.
- 8. It only takes a few minutes to secure items according to the crews instructions during takeoff and landing.
- 9. In some instances of low visibility - about one percent of flights - some landing systems may not be proved PED tolerant, so you may be asked to turn off your device.
- 10. Always follow crew instructions and immediately turn off your device if asked.
