Multiple reports in the past have suggested that Amazon plans to launch its voice-activated smart speaker Echo in India this year. Now according to Factor Daily, the e-commerce giant is planning to launch the speakers around Diwali season, which falls on October 18 this year.

(The) earlier plan was to launch it around December but it looks like they will be out sooner, a company source told the publication.

Initially, Echo will support only English, but later via an update more languages will be added including Hindi and Tamil. Amazon is also developing a  multilingual interface at its Chennai facility.

The Amazon Echo speaker was launched back in 2014 and comes with Alexa integration, Bluetooth, WiFi and microphones. You can command Alexa to play music, set reminders, order food, read emails or ask for the latest new, weather updates and more. Google also has its own version of Echo-like product called Google Home, that comes with Google Assistant, and offers the same functionality.

Amazon Echo will have no competitors in the Indian market, but if it succeeds, will open doors for Google and others to bring their voice assisted smart speakers to the country.

Steve Jobs Android rage can be used in patent legal row

Jobs thermonuclear war biography comments may haunt Apple Steve Jobs Android rage can be used in patent legal rowSteve Jobs explosive comments on Android can be used in patent battle A judge has ruled that explosive comments made by the lateSteve Jobs, can be used against Apple in a patent battle with Motorola. Apple co-founder and former CEO Jobs made the angry comments to biographer Walter Isaacson, claiming Google had ripped off the iPhone with its Android operating system. In the passage, which proved to be the most newsworthy part of the book,

Jobs said: "I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apples $40 billion in the bank, to right this wrong. "Im going to destroy Android, because its a stolen product. Im willing to go thermonuclear war on this,"

he revealed, in a series of interviews prior to his death in October 2011. Apple lawyers shot down Now those words could come back to haunt Apple, with a Chicago judge refusing to grant Cupertino lawyers request to forbid these quotes, and others, from the book being used by Motorola. Apple said in a filing to the court: "To avoid any potential prejudice to Apple if Motorola attempts to use the book to appeal to the jurys passion. "Apple asks that the court prevent any reference to the Jobs book during the trial." However, federal judge Richard Posner was having none of that. He shot down Apples request without explanation.

Samsung SM T116 and SM T113 new economic tablets be presented in January

Samsung

Once it has been virtually ruled out the presentation of the Galaxy S6 before the usual dates and considering that Samsung has prepared great things for CES taking place in Las Vegas these days, it was clear that the Koreans could not stand idly entire month of January. The tablets SM-T116 and SM-T113 have been located on the site of imports Zauba, a regular of this kind of leaks and whose information is often a symptom of close presentation.

Samsung usually put codenames to products that are in development; in this case the SM-T116 and SM-T113 are included within known as the Project Goya. We have no idea what wanted Koreans refer to this name, we do know, and thanks to SamMobile boys who have made a sweep of his sources, is that it could be two versions of what would be the successor to the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite.

This device first appeared in late 2013 and was presented in mid-January as the cheapest tablet of huge company. This year, history seems to repeat its successor, is that a little over a week since we had proof of the existence of the Galaxy Tab 4 Lite. According to the report of which I speak in this article, the presentation could be scheduled for the third week of this month, repeating the periods just like in 2014.

Samsung

Its specifications, which have not been disclosed, would therefore low end because it is the essence of this range that occupies the bottom rung of the catalog of Samsung. Yes, could be similar to the Galaxy Grand Max also leaked a few days ago. If confirmed, this would be a small screen device (7 or 8 inch) HD resolution, Quad-Core Processor 1.2 GHz (it could be the Snapdragon 610), 1-1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage expandable and Android 4.4 Kitkat with TouchWiz.

Nokia Windows Phone to Be Rebranded Microsoft Windows Report

A purported confidential document has surfaced online hinting at Microsofts plans to remove the Nokia branding from its upcoming devices this holiday season, alongside reports of plans to drop the Phone from the Windows Phone name and logo as part of the transition to the unifying Threshold Windows 9 update.
"As part of our phased transition, we will drop the manufacturer name [Nokia] from product references during the Holiday campaign," stated one of the slides (Seen Below) from the leaked document, titled Product Naming.
The leaked internal document suggests that Microsoft will be removing the Nokia branding altogether, leaving Lumia as the only brand name for its upcoming smartphones. In addition, the recently launched Nokia Lumia 730 Dual SIM, Lumia 830 and Lumia 735 are also said to be the final devices carrying the Nokia brand name.
microsofts_new_lumia_branding_geek_of_gadgets.jpg
Contradicting what the newly leaked document suggests, a report from June hinted Microsoft would rebrand the Nokia Lumia smartphones to Nokia by Microsoft.
Geek On Gadgets, the website that procured the purported confidential document, added that Microsoft is also planning to gradually remove the Phone from its Windows Phone brand name until it fades away completely. This fits in well with the companys announced plans for its upcoming Threshold update (expected to be called Windows 9) that will merge the phone, tablet and desktop platforms into a unified operating system.
On a related note, last month Nokia was spotted hiring engineers, designers and camera specialists for upcoming devices, on LinkedIn job-listings. Nokias Senior Vice President of Strategy, Sebastian Nystrom, later confirmed it was hiring for "new products businesses."
Interestingly, when Nokia completed the sale of its mobile business to Microsoft earlier this year, the announcement detailed that the Finnish giant would not manufacture mobile phones for a while, and concentrate on its telecommunications and services business in the interim.
Microsoft in July announced the biggest job cuts in its 39-year old history - with some 18,000 jobs being axed, of which 12,500 were from the Nokia acquisition. The Redmond giant further dumped its Android experiment and also announced that the Nokia X series of phones would be making the transition to Windows Phone as Lumia devices.

Dual Lens SmartPhones can be the Latest Trend Do You Want One

According to the leaked images of the forthcoming HTCs M8 smartphone, it has one camera but two different lenses that can bring some mind boggling imaging features that goes far beyond imagination and mere 3D.

A new startup technology known as Corephotonics, Which is a new concept for smartphone makers focusing on dual-lens. Accorsing to companys representatives, they are on the verge to finish a specific module in M8 and they were much anticipated in showing their modules strenght of image quality.

The technology is "Corephotonics", which uses two lenses with two different focal lengths. The first lens is at broader-angle, and the other is at 3x zoom, thus it can easily be switched to magnify more distant subjects without switching to digital zoom.

HTC M8: What More To Expect?

While testing the device as shown in the video above, The comparison of dual-lensese one-by-one using a smartphone camera, the Corephotonics system generated an image of 13-megapixel regardless of whether it is at 1x or 3x zoom.

Nokias PureView camera rely only on digital zoom technology generating a 3x magnified image creating a drop in resolution. Corephotonics software provides real-time images by matching each pixel from one lens with the corresponding pixel from the other lens, and it also detects that which pixel is closer to real-time.

If all this things go successfully, then we will have a technology with real promise and thats it explains why HTC has drilled an extra hole in the back of M8.
