- What is XOSP and how was it born?
- XOSP stands for the Xperia Open Source Project. The project was initially created by me (@nilac) for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) years ago. Back then the ROM was called S+ Reborn. The vision was to create a minimal bloat free ROM which included Sony Xperia specific apps and various tweaks users would expect from a custom ROM.
S+ Reborn became a success and was eventually ported to different devices so from there I rebranded and XOSP project was founded. I worked on the project for 2 years always trying to improve it. Eventually, Because of the fact Lollipop was buggy on my Galaxy S+ (Which I maintained xosp for at the time) I decided to take a break from development until I got my hands on the Zenfone 2 in 2015 and from then I started again the development of XOSP and continued it ever since.

- What Represents a Release and what represents a Revision?
- Revisions include small changes such as bug fixes/improvments etc.. (Usually there are made like 3 revisions per-release).
Releases are the main "stable" builds with all new planned features implemented and bugs fixed.

First time installing XOSP or coming from another ROM?
- Make sure your Bootloader is unlocked and youre running the latest TWRP
- Download latest build,XOSPApps and GApps
- Reboot recovery
- Wipe data factory reset
- Flash latest XOSP
- Flash GApps
- Flash XOSPApps (Optional)
- Reboot

Latest OnePlus 3 3T Open Beta brings parallel apps feature
OnePlus is among the few device makers that regularly pushes software updates for its smartphones. It has been providing regular beta updates to OnePlus 3 and 3T.
Building on the previous beta release, the company is now rolling out new OxygenOS open betas for its last years flagship. The OxygenOS Beta 21 for OnePlus 3 and OxygenOS beta 12 for OnePlus 3T brings one new interesting feature called Parallel apps; updates the launcher, Gallery and File Manager app.
With parellel apps features, you will be able to run a parallel version of the same app using a separate account. Currently this feature will be supported by Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and Instagram (and a few other popular apps).
The updated launcher gets an optimized home screen folder icon, redesigned UI for folder, and support for double finger slide, while Gallery app gets support for light theme and opening RAW format images.
The update also includes optimizations to call histories and fixes a bug that increased battery consumption after connecting to a Bluetooth device.
Heres all the changes included in OxygenOS Beta 21 for OnePlus 3 and OxygenOS beta 12 for OnePlus 3T

The latest OxygenOS beta builds update size is around 75MB. As usual, if your OnePlus 3/3T device is on a previous beta ROM, the update will be rolled out OTA, otherwise, youll have to apply the latest betas manually by downloading the it from downloads.oneplus.net (OnePlus 3 | OnePlus 3T).Updates?

AOKP-ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT
What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when youd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because theyre "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phones settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?
