Samsung Launches the Exynos 9 Series 8895 Octa Core Processor on 10nm FinFET Process Technology

Samsung Launches the Exynos 9 Series 8895 Octa Core Processor on 10nm FinFET Process Technology

After a bit of teasing, Samsung has unveiled the Exynos 9 Series Processor with the launch of the Exynos 8895. This is the latest flagship SoC from Samsung, and is built on the industry leading 10nm FinFET process technology.

The Exynos 9 Series 8895 is the latest premium application processor from Samsung Electronics, and is the first from Samsung to take advantage of 10nm FinFET process technology. This allows up to 27% higher performance while consuming 40% less power when compared to 14nm technology.
The Exynos 8895 is an octa-core processor, comprising four of Samsungs 2nd generation custom designed CPU cores for improved performance and four Cortex-A53 cores for efficiency. The CPU also features upgraded Samsung Coherent Interconnect (SCI) technology which supports Heterogeneous System Architecture that enables faster calculations for areas like AI and deep learning.
For the GPU, the Exynos 8895 packs in an ARM Mali-G71 MP20 GPU to provide next level 3D graphic performance that minimizes latency for 4K UHD VR use cases. With 20 graphic processing cores, the performance is claimed to have been improved by up to 60% from its predecessor.
The Exynos 8895 also supports displays up to WQUXGA (38402400) and 4K UHD (40962160). It also supports LPDDR4x Memory, as well as eMMC 5.1UFS 2.1 and SD 3.0 for storage.
The multimedia experience for the Exynos 8895 gets a hand from the advanced MFC (Multi-Format Codec), which allows it to support video recording and playback at 4K UHD at 120fps with the latest video codecs including HEVC(H.265), H.264 and VP9.
For camera, the ISP on the Exynos 8895 supports 28MP sensors for both, the front and rear, as well as support for Smart WDR and PDAF. It also supports dual camera support with a 28MP + 16MP combination. The dual ISP in the SoC consists of one ISP dedicated for high quality, while the other is dedicated for low power.
The Exynos 8895 also features a separate processing unit for enhanced security solutions that are needed in mobile biometric solutions like iris and fingerprint recognition. There is also an embedded Vision Processing Unit (VPU) that can recognize and analyze items and movements for better video tracking, panoramic image processing and machine vision technology.
That is not all. The Samsung Exynos 8895 is also the first mobile processor to integrate a gigabit LTE modem in the  industry that supports 5CA (Carrier Aggregation) for downlink, supporting maximum speeds of up to 1Gbps (Cat.16) as well as 2CA uplink with maximum speed of up to 150Mbps (Cat.13).
Samsung mentions that the Exynos 9 Series 8895 SoC is currently in mass production, though they do not provide any official word on the first device that will come with it. It wont be too much of a stretch to guess which one it will be though.

Top 5 Benefits of Using Server Virtualization Technology for Your Business

What is Server Virtualization?

Virtualization is a process of crucial importance when it comes to advancement of business operations. But before anyone takes up the task of providing virtualization to their servers, it is good to gain a grasp of what this process holds in store. The decisions connected to the server virtualization are largely connected to the size of a
business organization and the future plans for it. If an organization uses a single server there are not many benefits that might come from virtualization. If you want to know more about the Importance of Virtual Servers, then the below mentioned Top Five Best Reasons to Choose Server Virtualization for Your Business Operations will help you out.

On the other hand, a business that utilizes a multitude of servers or those that are planning to introduce more servers in their operations, server virtualization is something that can be substantially beneficial. In any case, it is very important to have an understanding of this process and what exactly is gained by the virtualization of servers. Here are the main benefits of this process:

Importance of Server Virtualization in the Enterprise

Cost Reduction: A lot of businesses are in need of creating smaller expenditures and ways to cut costs of everyday operations, whenever this is possible. Using virtual servers, an organization can reduce costs associated with IT infrastructure needed for installing and maintaining
physical servers in a company. This means that it is possible to reduce initial capital needed for the opening investments in hardware, as well as later cost of keeping it in optimal working order.

Increased Efficiency: By using virtual servers, there are fewer pieces of physicalharder in a workplace. This makes business operation more easily completed, while it also increases the overall efficiency of an operating cycle. Additional advantage includes smaller power consumption thanks to less physical servers working around the clock, which also adds to cost reduction of running a business. Also, fewer servers mean more physical space that can be put to some other use.

Better Utilization and Increased Productivity: When a business uses physicalservers, it utilizes somewhere between 5 and 15 present of available space on a single server. On the other hand, a virtual server uses around 80 percent of the space available. This difference is easily recognized in everyday operation, and this also means that server
virtualization brings additional space that can be used to significantly increase productivity.

Server Deployment is Faster: A substantial benefit that comes from server virtualization is the significant increase in speed of deployment. In the modern world of the mobile devices and the lightning speed in which information spreads, this factor can be the one that makes the distinction between a business success and a
business failure. As serves became more standardized, having virtual servers means that they can be easily replicated and upgraded to ensure an IT department meets all the growing needs of an expanding business.

Lesser Downtime: Lastly, server virtualization brings much less downtime for a business. This means that a company can stop worrying about periods when their services are not accessible, because virtual servers have effective methods of
recoveryand backup.

When all these benefits of having virtual servers are added up, there is no doubt that it presents an excellent
solution for a company with growing needs when it comes to IT. To solve these needs, it is very important to clearly understand them before choosing whether to go ahead with server virtualization. You can hire any reputed online company for an open & unified storage and Cloud Computing service as per your requirements.
