BOOKS OF BLOOD VOLUME 1 TO 6
Books of Blood are a series of horror fiction collections written by the British author Clive Barker.
There are six books in total; each simply subtitled Volume 1 through to Volume 6, each volume contains four or five stories. They were published between 1984 and 1985. With the publication of the first volume, Barker became an overnight sensation and was hailed by Stephen King as "the future of horror". The book won both the British and World Fantasy Awards.
Although undoubtedly horror stories, like most of Barkers work they mix fantasy themes in as well. The tales invariably take place in a contemporary setting, usually featuring everyday people who become embroiled in terrifying or mysterious events. Barker has stated in Faces of Fear that an inspiration for The Books of Blood was when he read Dark Forces in the early 1980s and realized that a horror story collection need not have any narrow themes, consistent tone or restrictions. The stories could range from the humorous to the truly horrific.

Diana J. Gabaldon (b. January 11, 1952 in Arizona) is an American author of Mexican-American and English ancestry , best known for the Outlander Series. Her books contain elements of romantic fiction, historical fiction, mystery, adventure, and science fiction.
The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon tells the story of Claire Beauchamp, a nurse from the 20th century, who travels back in time to the 18th century to meet Scottish Highlander, Jamie Fraser. Historical Fiction at its best, this is a must-read 7-part (and growing!) series.

Apple and Publishers Sued Over Price Fixing of E Books
You would think that a lawsuit like this might come from a direct competitor, but that�s not the case. Instead, the antitrust lawsuit is being filed by the United States government, naming Apple and several book publishers as the defendants.
The allegation is that Apple colluded with several book publishers to keep the prices of e-books higher in an effort to limit competition. More specifically, it says that this collusion was in direct response to the lower prices being offered by Amazon, which is known to sell best-seller e-books at $9.99. The publishers still wanted their books sold, but at $9.99, they weren�t making enough money.
And thus, the publishers had the same goal as Apple: keep the prices higher. It is �hard to settle a lawsuit when you know you have done no wrong,� said Macmillan (Holtzbrinck Publishers) CEO John Sargent. �Macmillan did not collude.�
The iBookstore from Apple is estimated to have about a 10-15% market share among e-books, compared to the around 60% that the Amazon enjoys, though that figure is down from the 90% it had some time back.
