Announces new Xiaomi Mi Note and Xiaomi Mi Note PRO

Announces

After many rumors and leaks, in the end what hidden Xiaomi for today was something nobody expected, the Xiaomi Mi Note, a terminal 5.7-inch, competitor iPhone 6 Plus and Galaxy Note 4 with a final thickness of 6 95 mm and Pro version Snapdragon 810. Neither Xiaomi Mi4s, Mi5 or Mi5 Plus, the new phone star 2015 Chinese brand will be the Xiaomi Mi Note, a device of 5.7 inch FullHD (1080p) LCD (NEGA) that has just been introduced in the event that the manufacturer has made in Beijing. It has Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a density of 386 ppi. As had been mentioned repeatedly, although without reaching the limit and eliminate some leaks, screen frames are almost eliminated, reaching the screen almost at the phone.

The device also has a Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.5 GHz Qualcomm processor, we’ve seen many times in 2014 and, in a way, is a slight disappointment, which will be corrected with a model “Pro” as it stays one step behind the Snapdragon 805 Galaxy Note 4 and Snapdragon 810 will arrive this year in most terminals – including future Xiaomi Mi5 now go to a release, supposedly in summer -.

Announces

With a RAM of 3GB and versions 16 and 64 GB, incorporates a camera with 13 megapixel sensor, f / 2.0 and signed by Sony (IMX214) that features LED flash and OIS, ie, optical stabilization image and is capable of recording video at 1080p -no mention it can reach the level of 4K -. Complete a front set of 4 megapixels.

Complete specifications 3,000 mAh battery inside a body, as mentioned 6.95 mm thick in which he stressed that there is no bump, as with the iPhone 6 Plus camera has been specifically mentioned, reaching a weight of 127 grams in total with a design featuring an aluminum arc around the device but polycarbonate shell.

Also as expected, despite being a leading Android terminal is actually a fork of this software, MIUI, which is still based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat waiting to make the jump to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Announces

In this sense, throughout 2015, when the new Qualcomm chip is available, the Pro version of this Xiaomi Mi Note will be announced with the Snapdragon 810, 4 GB of RAM and qHD display and LTE Cat 9. Despite being the first officially have these characteristics infarction, will, at the earliest, at the end of the second quarter, and will coincide with the arrival of others like Samsung Galaxy S6, LG G4 or Sony Xperia Z4, in theory, have a performance similar – though we doubt that they can beat the price -.

The Xiaomi Mi Note, as usual, will go on sale in China next January 27, but compatible with European networks and offers LTE (Cat 4 for model FullHD and Cat 9 in the Mi Note Pro). As the company has no plans yet for international expansion will have to resort to importing to gain from Europe. However, the price is the main attraction that is set to 2,229 yuan for the Xiaomi Mi Note, about 305 euros to change, and 3,299 euros for future Pro version, or what is the same, 442 euros.

BlackBerry announces BBM for Android Wear coming soon

The latest app to announce support for Android Wear, Google’s smartwatch platform, is none other than BBM. BlackBerry’s messaging service will soon be available for Android Wear devices (in “early 2015″), though an exact release time frame hasn’t been given.
BBM for Android Wear will let you access your messages straight on your watch, without the need to reach for your smartphone all the time.

You’ll get notifications for new messages, which will show the sender and a discrete preview of the message’s content. You’ll be able to read the entirety of any message from your smartwatch, navigate between messages, and dismiss notifications with a swipe.
If you feel the need to reply but want to do that from your watch too, you’ll get that option through Google Now voice recognition, or you can choose from a list of predefined responses. Finally, BBM invites will show up on your Wear device, and you’ll be able to accept them from your wrist.

Eyefi announces cloud service for its Mobi cards

Eyefi announced a private cloud service specifically for its Mobi SD cards. Eyefi cards have built-in Wi-Fi modems in them so they upload photos over the Internet even if your camera can’t. Anyway, with Eyefi Cloud photos will be uploaded and synced to any of your connected devices.
Even if you use multiple cameras everything will be synced in one place. This is both for cameras with Eyefi Mobi cards installed and for smart devices with the app installed.

The cloud part of the service keeps photos private but lets you share them with select contacts. They will be notified when new photos are available. The original images will be uploaded to the cloud so you’ll have an untouched copy even if you lose your camera or card.
Photos will be downloaded on all connected devices so that they are available offline too. You can review and curate the images, the changes will get synced when the device reconnects (this will give you something to do on the plane ride back home).
Eyefi Cloud works with Eyefi Mobi cards (8GB/16GB/32GB) and you start off with a three month trial period. After that it’s $50 a year though the company didn’t specify just how much cloud storage you’re getting for that.
